H&M has had some epic collaborations!
Within the last year, the iconic Thierry Mugler collaboration showcased lavish adornments, defined contours, and expert tailoring, all complemented by a distinct label bearing Mugler’s iconic signature.
Towards the end of 2023, things got glamourous courtesy of the H&M x Rabanne collaboration featuring futuristic designs with sequins, chainmail and sheer fabric; reminiscent of the disco era—and perfect for the Christmas season!
And now we have an exciting collaboration between visionary designer Rok Hwang and the iconic H&M brand.
In this post, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the H&M x Rokh collaboration.
Who Is Rok Hwang?
Rok Hwang was born in South Korea but grew up in Austin, Texas.
Hwang later relocated to London to pursue a degree in menswear before specialising in womenswear at Central Saint Martins.
His passion for womenswear caught the eye of Phoebe Philo, leading to his selection for her inaugural team during her tenure at Céline.
After three years at Céline and gaining experience at Chloé and Louis Vuitton, Hwang established his eponymous brand, ROKH, in 2016 and has garnered a dedicated following ever since.

What To Expect From The H&M x Rokh Collaboration
This limited-edition collection is a celebration of creativity, innovation, and the power of self-expression through fashion.
Each piece exudes a captivating blend of elegance and iconoclasm, ensuring both intrigue and functionality—a perfect combination of artistic allure and practicality for the “classic professional wardrobe”.
So expect double-layer trench coats, corset tops, reworked trousers, detachable-hem dresses, a subdued floral print top as well as office-inspired accessories such as a briefcase bag, accordion style clutch and two-tone metallic jewellery.
This gender-neutral collection is highly modifiable too!
You have many options for layering, customisation, and unconventional styling such as wearing them backwards.
Additionally, numerous pieces incorporate detachable and adjustable components like hook-and-eye hems and button-up seams.
“I always focus on making my collections as timeless as possible, and one way of doing that is with customisable details”, explains Hwang.
“I’ve seen people wearing panels from our signature multi-button trench coat upside down and inside out, in brilliantly unique ways I never imagined when I first came up with the design. To see my clothes being interpreted by people in their own way is one of my greatest pleasures, and I can’t wait to see how customers engage with this fun and dynamic collection for H&M.”
